Stonehenge trip kickstarts learning
Kennet and Sarum have kicked off their topic in style with a trip to Stonehenge. Both classes were in the education centre and getting hands on exploring how Stonehenge was built, clothes worn, the burials in round barrows and why the stones were erected as they were. They then explored neolithic houses, made rope and built the walls of a house using hazel. OF course, we explored the stones themselves. Please ask the children what they learnt as there was so much information and I’m sure they would love to tell you.
