Silbury and Wylye Classes have finished the term’s topic about dinosaurs with an amazing trip to Dorchester Dinosaur Museum. Here they met dinosaurs of all types and sizes, friendly or fierce, bumpy or smooth. Lots of hands on exploration enabled the children to learn even more about the creatures that roamed our world over 65 million years ago. We were able to uncover bones hidden in the sand, find out about the biggest creatures, feel their different textures and even smell a dinosaurs breadth – YUK! We had lots of opportunity to ask questions and simply explore. ” It’s the best day ever – I love dinosaurs!” commented Bella. The children were a real credit to the school. The classes were a buzz when we reflected on our outing photos – quite magical. .
